Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Did you know that FMLA protected leave by law, and you can use it for mental health issues such as depression or anxiety?
Did you also know that depression and anxiety caused by stress on the job might qualify for workers compensation?
I wonder where we can find employees who are working in conditions where, if one person goes home for an emergency or is sick, the entire location suffers? I wonder where we can find employees who are coerced by their managers to come back in or stay, building that stress? I wonder where we can find managers who are tasked with enforcing these rules that they know aren't healthy?
I wonder what happens if all those employees file work comp claims?
Why, almost any action at that point by the company might be viewed as retaliation and be something the employees could sue over, let alone the inevitable class action lawsuit for the working conditions affecting everyone's health, mental or otherwise.

We need to all come together and strike against Hertz for workplace violence.

This company is ruining employees livelihoods and customers lives.

The FTC and BBB perhaps DOGE needs to intervene.
Check into EEOC and make a claim.

That is not how any of that works. Try it and see how it goes for you then report back when you aren’t paid for being out on FMLA or maybe not covered for work comp.

Majority of the people who work at Hertz hate their job and/or minimally tolerate it. Except the new Delta gang and CEO, they’re here for a quick million dollars.

Stephen Sherrer was asking for body guards before he left Hertz to protect him from his own employees. Who in their right mind would sign up to take that position knowingly.

Good luck with your miserable job. It’s everyone, not just some or half.

It drives me crazy how can people stay in a job and be so miserable. Do you know you can leave and find a better job?

You need to do this only if you have a solid exit plan. Because once you come back from leave you will be targeted, most liekly places on a PIP to be fired
