'need many of his minions gone too'

Name one that should stay, because I don't see one that should.

When Fartley is finally shown the door, need many of his minions gone too, including DF(Mr bunny slippers or hey let’s put wheels on an I-phone)

The only reason I can think that Chris, I mean Jim, is still around is because the whole EV disaster was Billy Bob’s idea.
Here’s a tip: Follow Toyota, they could have paid me 25% of what Fartley got paid, for that brilliant idea.🙄 In my time at Ford, Toyota was the benchmark.

VS not a good example. Many likely know the backstory on that. It was a rejoin offer not vetted and had to be retracted.
Joe would be a good re-hire, but a lot of house cleaning of Farley-it’s would need to occur.

Vijay Sankaran was on the ladder to stardom when he quit and went elsewhere. They went to him and asked him to come back as the CIO. Although he only lasted 1 week, its not unprecedented to as a former leader to come back. If Billy went hat-in-hand with a box of chocolates and a handful of flowers to Hinrichs's house and offered him the CEO job, would he take it?

Agree that Hinrichs was our best candidate at the time Farley got the job. Hackett was always supposed to be temporary, who knows what took the Bord and the family so long to make up their minds.

Just remember it's not just Farley causing this mess. How many of the C-suite and their direct reports have been here being one of the root causes of quality issues, only now to say things like "quality is job #1". Same people who put their egos before the company's priorities.

Hinrichs was the best but Fartley and Hatchet got rid of him. Hatchet was an office furniture guy and Fartley a marketing tu-d. Hinrichs was an engineer like Mulally. Billy keeps sc--wing up in keeping Fartley on board and turning Ford into a joke.

Fartley also changed our corporate culture, the ways they treat/ eliminate employees are getting nastier than ever. When I joined Ford, they had voluntary layoffs, then there were only involuntarys , now they just trying to make our life difficult, so we can quit or get fired without severance. A older buddy in accounting was asked to come up with an AI project in his objectives. He’s an accountant not software engineer! They hid the attrition stats to avoid bad PR.

There must be a few executive searches going on at Ford. The CEO of Pro quit in a huff, the President of Integrated Services quit to spin his wheels elsewhere, the CEO of Canopy was demoted to GM of security services, and Farley is long past overdue for replacement.

There is nobody at Ford capable of leading this company out of the EV quagmire of debt, and I have no faith that Bill Ford, who shouldn’t be working here either, will make any competent outside hires.

The problem is the bench at Ford is non-existent. This was purposefully done by CEO to eliminate potential competition. There has been shopping external to Ford for a CEO. It is not something good candidates want to take on. Think about it Mulally saves Ford, then Bill and is lackeys destroy it again. Why would someone want to be Mulally #2?

Prognosis is dire

And no bunny ears is not qualified to be the CEO

Peter is dead on with his assessment of Jim I am the smartest person in the room just ask me Farley.. He has been in charge of the show for nearly five years and nothing to show for it...
He is not a Leader. Takes no blame or responsibility for anything. Then trash talks his employees like he thinks he is in the same league as a Bob Lutz or Iacocca.. Sorry Jimmy you could not even tie their shoes. You are not a product guy...

@af+1jmyn79r2 - There is no contract. Educate yourself and go read the SEC filing.

He doesn't have "fifteen minutes", he will stay in his role for as long as needed. Not sure if you can say the same.
