I’m very disappointed this morning. I expected much more P66 bashing that what I‘be seen so far. I know you can do better!!!

To the guy saying his office is covered in P&ID's, don't be fooled. Those drawings will be dumped on the next guys desk with no more instructions other than "do it". I was lucky enough to work for P66 for 40 yrs, moving from position of operator to Environmental (there were more regulations than hours in the day). I was fortunate enough to outlast the brass. Feel sorry for the rest of you.
Retirees and lifelong Bartians are still living in the fantasyland that Bartlesvile and P66 are still in their heyday and that Bartlesvile has a vibrant economy, etc. The reality is so much different: brain drain, no career opportunities, etc. The company is a lifeless shell of what it used to be and over 3/4 of new hires don’t move here. Owasso’s growth has been fueled by new P66 employees realistic enough not to live here. Can you blame them?

It’s easy for the person who is now retired to take up for the company on this. They’d feel differently if it was them looking at losing their jobs or seeing co-workers losing theirs.

Previous down sizing was done when economic times were very bad not when they are very, very, good like now.
Worked for company for over 35 years. Now retired. Went thru several rounds of layoffs over the years. Company is acting now like it’s done during every downsizing. You chose to work for an energy company and this is the nature of the beast. Get over it!! Good luck to you all!
I feel the same way about the company’s morals as the last poster. How do you ever trust the company again? If I don’t get laid off I’m going to start seriously looking for another job. In the mean time I’ll do enough work to keep my job. Some of my fellow employees get calls from Head Hunters It seems every week.
I feel this whole this is pointing out where my morals and the ethics of a company don't agree. These people are purposefully aholes. Even if I survive, do I want to keep working here?
Word I heard was an email from Daddy Mark at 8ish central tomorrow (seems early for the west coasters, but such is the rumor), followed by people individually being taken aside to get their papers.
