Been with the company over 16 years. Worked my way up to multiple titled positions. 2 years ago they got rid of certain pro sales positions. Now 2 years later, no raises and now being told I have to do my current position plus the work I did as a pro with out any extra compensation. Myself and many other long term employees are actively seeking employment outside the company hoping to find a company that will appreciate us

I remember when they decided to get rid of department supervisors. I was an appliance manager. I had the #1 sales in the store and got demoted to lumber associate. I even got an award of a 20 dollar gift card and mentioned at the store meeting for the best sales in the store.....2 weeks after being demoted. And guess who constantly got called BACK to appliances after being demoted. After the 4th or 5th time I refused to go. I told them you demoted me,remember, I was no good at that job. I sweep lumber now so stop asking me to do the job you demoted me from.

I stepped down to part time several years ago as my wife got a promotion after many years as a Team Lead and Specialist. I feel much better now, less than a year left to retirement.
Did the same with my position a couple of years ago. Then stores had to back track and hire an extra body to help using man hours from some where else in the store. Nobody likes Marvin (Melvin). Even a lot of his peers.

They start off new hires with as much and more than people who have dedicated their life and time for years and years to the company. Thats garbage
