Yes, layoffs are built into Cisco's business model because of the acquisitions. You can't keep acquiring companies without shedding employees.

will the sun rise? Same answer...always!
cr only said nothing planned because they haven't met to discuss a number. I'll go with end of year after smashing year end numbers or end of Q1 FY26. If the numbers are that great, maybe they do an ER but that's pipe dream stuff. The ELT is for the ELT, not those that have done the time and put in the effort.
No, everything is just fantastic and your jobs are safe indefinitely. Time to go back to nap between conference call mode.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.
Ask yourself.
It’s all hands on deck now. In FY26, there will be a major shift as employees transition from collaboration to compute, networking, and security. Exciting opportunities lie ahead for those ready to embrace them!
Never trust anything Robbins or other ELT members claim. They're clueless and drive this dinosaur quarter by quarter.
No LRs planned for this year! We’re all secure in our jobs until at least mid 2026. Thankful to be working for Cisco.
What do you mean by "continue to downsize?"
Cisco often grows even bigger not that long after a layoff. Cisco clears out a lot of underbrush and some good people who are so badly managed that they'll be better off at most other companies. As long as Cisco keeps mismanaging staff this will go on as long as there is a Cisco, and given industry in general any future companies that would acquire parts of Cisco.
With $95T in private as well as public debt in the US and wealth distribution worse now than the point the great depression started you're going to have to face the reality that the artificially constructed middle class of the 1950s and 1960s is long gone. Go back through all the crying here this year about layoffs from all tech companies while the real GDP was growing the entire time and imagine what will happen in an actual economic crisis, then learn a critical skill called "risk management" and how to apply it to your life.
Bunch of Bo Fa
There were rumors about another LR potentially occurring next fiscal year. Chuck was asked about this during the last All Hands in Switzerland, and according to him, no additional LR rounds are planned.
I highly doubt it but I could be wrong..
