My team is given candidates to interview and we have hired several over the past 2 months.
Just because a req is open doesn't mean the teams are given candidates to interview.
I think you meant struggling and firing.
Hiring freeze?! There are many open jobs in EMEA, especially in the new EMEA HQ because nobody wants to move from the Netherlands to Ireland.

Not even that in most groups. Except for escalated reqs, netapp has a hiring freeze.
Thriving and hiring? Maybe i could go along with the "hiring" part, even if it were not true.
The only one that are thriving are the upper management who bully working class engineers into doing whatever they want, did anyone ask why is that its the engineers who always take the fall, very rarely the management?
