Like mentioned in previous posts the morale has left the building and what is left are disgruntled, miserable and disillusioned workers that once gave it their all and now couldn’t care less!
The quickly taken down post by management yesterday pretty much validated why employees feel the way that they do. Not sure how many people got to read it but to sum it up: be grateful for the job you have and if you don’t like it quit! With that being said unless changes are being made from the top down nothing will change on the bottom. Workers in 2025 are no longer obeying to do as you told and keep your head down and mouth shut! Big companies all over already experienced that with mass strikes and ultimately having to pay increased wages. Since Canon is not unionized the workers don’t seem to have many rights! This page is helping to bring that to light! But instead of the company taking it to heart and trying to meet workers half way they make a threatening post on this page telling people to QUIT IF THEY DONT LIKE IT! (Again taken down shortly after it was posted) Throwing us a cheap lunch as appreciation and a bs award is just that BS! And again shows how little valued their employees are! When the hybrid schedule was changed to 3 days in the office adding to come in on an extra day if the holiday falls on an in office day. When employees were told to come in the office the day AFTER CHRISTMAS a WFH day, when employees are expected to drive in on a snow day when the work easily could have been done from home as it was during Covid and after. When employees are restricted from taking certain days off or can’t work from home after chemo treatment. When people get too old and get offered a severance just so that more people get laid off right after with a BIGGER severance package. When upper mgmt is majority WHITE MAN AND JAPANESE That tells you all you need to know! When an email honoring Black History Month goes out days after it started and after someone on here posted questioning where is the email this year? Most ethnic people are in lower positions or maintain the building aka janitors. That is all you need to know! Nobody left there cares about the success of Canon. Because Canon doesn’t give a damn about their workers! That you can take to the bank!

Who got a lollipop cuz I sure didn’t?
YES! that right there! Not lollipops and candies and mass printed cards either! We are adults not children!
I agree and I’m so glad that people are finally expressing on what goes on at Canon! For far too long we were treated with the BE GRATEFUL YOU HAVE A JOB HERE! Rather than WE appreciate you and the work YOU do! Not with words, emails and meaningless meetings but with actions and HUMANITY!
First off - I understand why everyone is upset as I lived that awful life for many years (too many).
But what I don’t understand is the shock and outrage of the message. Nothing is surprising. What was posted was exactly how we all feel/felt and the exact reason everyone is unhappy. In fact, I would think everyone would feel shock and outrage if it was something nice posted about the employees and how executive/senior management has to do better and treat employees better. What am I missing?
You got su-kers??? What office?
I read it the other day didn’t wanna comment from the office! My only guess is that it was that pompous egotistical male chauvinistic a--hole, Mason that wrote the post!
6 inches of snow here yesterday asked to work from home and do in office on Thursday was told in office would be on Friday cause management needs to be there and that’s the day that they can do it! Wtf, another win for Canon beating your employees to the ground!
Wow I had not seen this thank you for posting it again. The sad part is that I am not lazy or pathetic. Nor are most people on here "complaining" we want things to get better.
That is the point and when you bury your head in the sand and don't take into account the fact that we are screaming for some sort of positive change. Then you sir just do not get it. Times change and it's time for change Canon.
That deleted post is really bad. It definitely has the undertones of what a communist dictator / authoritarian leader would say. “You cannot criticize your government, just be quiet and take it up the rear otherwise you will be sent to the gulag” type of vibes.
HERE IS THE DELETED POST:
Wake Up Call for Everyone Here
Folks - Let me be crystal clear. After reading some of the recent discussions happening within our company, I want to take a moment to address a concerning trend. There seems to be a growing culture of entitlement and dissatisfaction, with a lack of recognition for the opportunities and resources being provided to you all from Canon. And frankly, this is unacceptable.
Let me be clear-this company does not exist to cater to every individual preference or personal ambition.
Leadership like myself has invested significant time and effort into building Canon. And frankly, this is unacceptable.
Let me be clear-this company does not exist to cater to every individual preference or personal ambition.
Leadership like myself has invested significant time and effort into building a structure that allows for innovation and growth, and yet, rather than demonstrating appreciation and professionalism, some employees are more focused on complaints, grievances, and unrealistic expectations. Grow up!
And grow up fast.
If you think the challenges we face are insurmountable, I suggest you take a HUGE step back and consider the alternative-plenty of companies would be happy to let you sit in obscurity, unheard and unnoticed. Instead, you are in an organization like Canon that actually provides opportunities to contribute and make a real impact. The company is actually on an upward trajectory with the best yet to come. I honestly feel we will be competing with the likes of META and the other leading tech companies if you all can stay focused and work hard. I see a bunch of lazy complaining folks and that will not cut it or be tolerated anymore.
The expectation is that you meet that with gratitude, respect, and a solutions-oriented mindset, not endless criticism.
Start refocusing your efforts on the work at hand. If you have constructive feedback that benefits the company.

Yes it was a post with the headline WAKE UP CALL FOR EVERYONE HERE…..
Is this a different post you are referring to other than “Cyber Wolf” under the Standards of Living thread?
I saw and read it too! Clues all over that post “Folks”
I read it, was surprised to see it vanished. You can't just remove posts, there were probably some details disclosing the identity of the poster.
The fact that the other post was completely removed is atrocious.. Guess the poster didn't like the comments and in their mind, the nerve of employees actually voicing their concerns instead of putting up a fake front that the morale and work conditions are wonderful.. ..If you want people to respect you, why on earth would you pretty much say, "If ya don't like it, get out".. Is that part of the teamwork and collaboration? Thank God for this page being a sounding board for employees.. Glad to know we aren't alone...
Now as per the post from someone in management yesterday this would come across as ungrateful! But really it just again proves the point that this is not kindergarten and we don’t want any lollipops but rather the opportunity for example to have worked from home on a SNOW DAY! GTFOH!
Oh, but be grateful you got a lollipop for Valentine’s Day. That must of cost Canon like $6 to purchase a few bags from the Dollar Store.
