Thread regarding Corning Inc. layoffs

Suggestion

If layoffs are approaching, then leadership should consider sending an anonymous survey to let employees vote on who contributes the least. Many of us have watched those who actually keep this place running get cut, while others remain despite adding little value. After years of this pattern, I do not think Corning can take much more, nor do I believe it realizes how many great people it has lost and could still lose.

A better approach would be to offer early retirement or financial incentives to those willing to leave. This would prevent the loss of those who actually make a difference and ensure the company keeps the talent it needs to survive.

I have to second the comment of poor middle management. Been at Corning, in the valley, for just about 20 years and have never seen middle management so weak and so self absorbed in themselves. They are ki-ling this once great company.

Corning is DEI central when it comes to middle management. Cluelessness with no abilities except for self promotion. Never seen it so bad.

Never seen so high % of poor performers in this company. This is what happens when executive management ki-ls culture and moral. The good people leave and the mediocre remain. I hope they are proud of themselves

Because Corning has an issue hiring the sons and daughters of management/engineering to the same positions. Most are spoiled brats who never had a real job, have no clue what they are doing and treat the production workers like they are beneath them. Corning has a major culture problem and until upper management changes this trend will continue.

Why don't anyone report FAKE employee(s) as they are threat to talented, deserved people. They are kind of show off, buttering, doing nothing and act as mediator and create gossips and rumors. Managers hire these people just to get their impression in the team and also make some commission from their pay.

Is there a portal or website to report these peoples?
