Millions Spent on SB ads, Layoffs Next

A minimum of $24mil spent on Super Bowl ads and lives are changed in a blink of an eye in one week. Four quarters of missed earnings. Ramon won’t lose a second of sleep from it while Maria and he are making millions a year. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE??

Agree with “ha”.

Tv Airtime (8million for thirty seconds a commercial), celebrities, directors, agencies, luxury suites at the game, tickets to the game, travel for all the executives, the onsite displays and activation, customer parties, “sales meetings”, paying for PR on good morning America, paying for social media, in store POS, Super Bowl bottle design packaging, foods packaging and more.

Between Beverages and Foods, the real number is closer to $100 million.

How much were sales down this quarter? Yeah, Super Bowl ads are definitely going to save jobs and drive sales. Ha.

Quit spending money on frivolous things, focus on better quality, better flavors and move away from ego projects that don’t make money.

Maybe we use just half of that money to support our field teams and promote sales with customers

It looks Pepsi is benefitting from the huge self inflicted wound that Coke made when they turned in their own long term employees to be deported, many people in Mexico and Mexican Americans are boycotting them now and choosing Pepsi instead in protest.

maybe Frito can make the bags smaller, raise prices or come out with a gross new flavor of Doritos or Lays, that might help...

Goof wonders why a company spends money marketing its product.

Look at the bright side we didn't get blamed for the cr-ppy half time show. That was almost as bad as when the "Weekend" performed it for Pepsi

What is wrong with this place? It's a corporation. Of course they're going to advertise during the Super Bowl, and of course they're not going to worry about us once they've crow-barred us out the door.

Remember when IN had us shaking p-m-poms and chanting "We believe!" in that big tent in Somers. She gave a nice speech about how we were family. And then promptly laid off many of her "children" in the following weeks. We are not family; we are nothing more than a number. Always remember that Pepsi will never love you back.

Serious decline in demand and sales. Tough roads ahead with microplastic, plastics pollution, ultra processed snacks and GLP inhibitors. Plus the government’s finally gonna do the right thing and make our products ineligible for food stamps. We’re not going to be able to advertise or manage or s&t our way out of this mess.
