TC would be horrible at Intel, zero product development experience. Fundamentally Intel's profits will come from their product side of the business, the foundry side will have much lower gross margins. If Intel brings in someone like TC he will neglect the product side of business and jump into foundry fully. Net, TC would be a horrible choice for their next CEO.
Now for the folks still at GF you have my condolences having TB as your new CEO. The guy knows NOTHING about engineering and semiconductors, he is an MBA bean counter who will just cut costs and lose any differentiation GF has. TB is in no way qualified to lead such a business, his role has always been Mubadala's spy and has pulled TC the puppets strings for many years based on what Mubadala wants. The guy is the worst choice for GF's CEO that they could find!!!!!!
