Cisco doesn't look for technical merit anymore in hiring.
I've seen no evidence over decades that they ever did. For the few who came in with real skills management insured they weren't used and therefore died on the vine.
I doubt the "early in career" Cisco Customer Success folks would know what a cascading style sheet it. Cisco doesn't look for technical merit anymore in hiring.
