Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Any insight into how many people accepted the VRP?

Just wondering if this would reduce the amount of people layoff. The suspense is making me nervous.

I have been both rebadged and offered the VRP. My heart breaks for anyone outsourced to the contracting companies. It is absolutely inhumane. Also, you lose all of your severance.

I had heard a lot less took the VRP than management hoped . . .

Why they don't offer to hourly employees ?

Also, there are active outsourcing discussions with strategic suppliers currently underway. Don’t be surprised if you’re working for them sometime this year.

Take a look at the 10k published yesterday. We are planning to continue layoffs through 2030. We just extended the multi year productivity plan we announced in 2019 to 2030 and set aside over $6 billion for severance. Not only aren’t the VRPs enough this will last for a very long time.

It offsets their quota, yes, but I don't think they release those numbers. The fact that the offers finally went to people of all levels means that they want to cut deep.
