People lead pay

Average pay for people lead? Indeed shows up to 29$ an hour. Any people leads out there close to this rate?

The People Lead job is a no win situation. First, there’s no support from store management. They not only don’t want to help, but they are not skilled enough to know how to help. Second, and this is probably the saddest part…. Let’s face it, Walmart does not hire the cream of the crop. Most associates hired by Walmart (at the stores) could not or would not ever be hired anywhere else. They come with bad work history, criminal records, they are chronically late or call in, they disappear during the work day, they steal, they are openly confrontational to coworkers and customers, and just undesirable human beings. All this creates chaos for the people lead and since there’s no help, support or a way to dig out, the people working in people lead positions have no motivation and just try to get through the day. Yes, the whole thing is a cycle that is repeated on a regular basis.

That’s why they pay 2 times what the average associate makes. You do twice the work. But every time I go to HR they are sitting around doing nothing. You are expected to hustle for that kind of money. If you don’t want to hustle don’t take the job. Same with the vision center, they whine and cry about how hard it is, but they make big money. I didn’t see vision center associates want to stay in the pharmacy after Covid restrictions where ended, they have it too easy.

Job sucks little training and everything is the people leads fault. All you do is hire and people quit and you keep hiring and management bi----s because people don’t stay and you get blamed for it.

I was a people lead and I stepped down. Job had too many expectations for 1 person and the job needs 2 people to get it done. Plus my store manager gave me ZERO support.
So glad I walked away.
