Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Change is coming?

Change is coming but feels like with no transparency.. shouldn’t there be some slides on which teams will be impacted.. I guess it will be a surprise until you get laid off.. and why is the head of FLNA which is tanking getting promoted to lead the combined FLNA and PBNA…

There will be signs.... could you see details on your manager's Outlook calendar and now you can't? Is your manager having a lot of meetings you know nothing about? Are coworkers who are close to management avoiding you? Are you getting nitpicked at work, because they will try to fire you before paying severance? Are you not getting any new projects or workload? Are you left out of meetings you were previously included in? Do people who would be "in the know" start acting weird around you?
Trust me there will be signs, you just need to pay attention to them. Work on getting a new job so you can take their severance while getting paid at your new job - that is exactly what I did. Btw, my new job came with a 40% pay increase and less work.

Honestly, I don't think they care if people know. Those of us that have been around long enough know it's coming. It's a yearly tradition that they hold to dearly.

However, having lived through it enough times, (and finally accepting a VRP), I know that they keep quiet out of respect to those individuals that are impacted.

They’re not going to let the cat out of the bag at a Global Townhall.. They want to keep everyone on the defensive and in the dark until the hammer falls.
