Ford Success Linked to America First Strategy - Build American and Buy American

We need to change our business strategy to include “America First” as a tenet to be successful in the US car market. The people have voted for this “America First” strategy and it is being implemented Nationally. Our leadership best figure out how to build cars here in America by Americans with American made parts or Ford will fail. If Ford leadership remains in denial, Ford will lose. Our foreign competition has already scrapped plans for Mexico expansion and is focusing on building up American facilities to remain competitive in the US market. The companies that embrace the America first philosophy will be the winners in the future.

Hmmm, let's see how this American First policy is working; Ford is one of the worst run companies, F/L dealers have 138 days supply of vehicles on lot along with lots of other OEMs, inflation is raising, consumer confidence is down and sinking fast, business leaders don't know what to do because of all the chaos, we are divided as a country, the stock market is in a major correction down over 10% from the highs, American is now hated by all countries but two I will not mention, and we are headed for a recession or worst because of the current Kangaroo Leadership in DC. Tell me again how we are winning. American First is political BS. No one can run a successful global business that way. Enjoy your day OP!

At least the Toyotas run long enough for the frames to get rusty and ki-l the truck. With the Ford, the engine fails before the frame even has a chance to rust. 🎤 ⬇️

Retiree who owned only Fords for 30 years , I will never buy another based upon their decision to outsource jobs to LLC. Let the Indian, Mexican, and Brazilian workers buy them in NA.

Brazilian engineering center ramped up under a lie that PD didn't have capacity to cover smaller programs. Once infrastructure in place they had NA layoffs and expanded LLC capacity.

Such ideology is stupid. Nobody cares about where the company is or where the cars are built. You win customers by quality or price or both, not by where it's made.

Do you turn down Samsung/Sony/LG/TCL/Hisense... and only want TVs "made in America by Americans"? Good luck finding one, because there is none.

When you pick up an iPhone, do you flip to the back of the box and say to yourself "I don't want it, because it's assembled in Vietnam/India/China instead of the US"?

And literally 98% of clothes are imported from outside of the US - so I bet you stay n@ked 98% of your time?

Will Ford be able to attract the best and brightest from India and China to work in their new engineering headquarters in Mexico?

Will Mexico allow that? Somehow, I don't think so. It will be "Mexican jobs for Mexicans."

The Ford GTBC, in Naucalpan de Juárez, houses up to 4000 employees in-office or 9000 hybrid seating. It resembles the setting of the Wolf's Lair.

I will buy American made cars if they can build cars with good quality, reliable, attractive, and efficient.

Ford need to build good cars, Following the winds of the ruling party has failed them in the past. Look at how the EV strategy worked, didn’t matter that Biden kept pushing EV, the market wants quality.
