Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

BD potentially divesting life science segment

Look up Reuters article 2/3/2025. “Financial Times had earlier reported that activist investor Starboard Value had taken a stake in Becton and was pushing the company to sell its life sciences unit.”

Another source by a Bloomberg article (behind pay wall) states “under the plan being considered, Becton would separate the biosciences and diagnostics solutions business while retaining its specimen management”. Specimens management is all mostly at Franklin Lakes already.

Should be more news by Thursday, no internal communication of this yet.

Good work..needed an investor to say what Tommy couldn't achieve. Sell Life Sciences that sh-t is useless to the BD business
