1/3 of the Charlotte operations staff was told they are being laid off. Largely the compensation team for legacy Met, Third Party, and Group.

I don't believe Charlotte ever actually met their headcount requirements for all the tax breaks they rec'd. It's a wonder they didn't get sued by NC. April is the 10 year anniversary of the run to NC for Met and when they split off Brighthouse they fell well under their headcount requirement if they'd ever actually hit it prior to that which I doubt.
Laying off 7 or 8 people.
How many people are in the compensation team?
Are we talking three people and one was laid off?
Group? What area?
