Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Any updates on February RIF dates?

Is the current RIF goal to have everyone in US off headcount by end of the fiscal year? This would mean all notifications would happen before the end of February.

Looks like GOSC re-org causing some layoffs in Ops. Minor hit at our hub but not sure of the impact across the country

It looks like some folks in Congenital, which I believe is part of Structural Heart, were let go, marketing and field positions.

Same old Q4 panic. Maybe if the whole excomm didn't travel for town halls, the little people would have something left for business critical travel in Q4?

Layoffs must be coming. Freezing all reqs prevents those who are let go from finding internal jobs. Once they are off the system reqs open up. This happened in December after a number of groups had RIFs.

We just got the message to freeze all hiring and travel. We'll see if it will be enough to avoid Feb. RIF.

Wed/Thur next week either day is a big RTO day. Monday is a call out sick "superbowl" stomach flu day, Tuesday is HR calendar invite day, they won't dare touch Valentines day.
I got nothing solid as far as information just adding to the RIF excitement

Earnings call on Feb 18th might be the source

Does anyone know where the mid-Feb RIF rumor is coming from? Is that based on past RIFs or a leader who has been asked to plan for a mid-Feb RIF this year or is the rumor coming from, you know, nowhere?
