Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

BoA

I've been here a long time
Have heard about the stuff we've done at BoA forever and have seen it put on a pedestal to replicate.
I've also learned we have lost our pants on that deal.
Have been in the conversations where we've made good and also horrible decisions
BUT - No where have we replicated it despite what Premier Leadership has marketed.
AND - you notice that BoA doesn't get the airtime it used to.

What's the morale of the story?

Everyone wants to replicate a big deal until we realize the profit isn't what we expected

Why am I sharing this here and now - its because these are the types of deals that earn the Sales Team Millions per person, but winds up su-king the life out of the people who are left to Deliver, While we also get admonished for not replicating the deal until years later when everyone realizes the deal su-ked to starte.

When will Leadership truly step up and stop looking focusing on SFDC DID's?

If you think AMs each make millions off those deals today, you aren’t paying attention. Initially, yes they did. Not anymore.

No surprise if BofA is leaving. However very concerning. When the Premiers were formed the leaders on BofA assumed leadership roles in the org. Since that time they have not been successful in carrying their BofA success to other accounts. Yet after 4 years they continue to try. Familiar with whom may be doing the admonishing, and that’s a big part of the problem. The premiers haven’t lived up to expectations maybe time to bring new ideas to table?

And profitability wasn't what was expected because of terrible PMing and bottom tier account management.

Is that why the work for the BoA has dried up?

First rule of sales: Don't talk about losses or bad sales.
I always said there is much more to be learnt from a loss than a success.
