I hope your all well, just work hard don't stress about the unavoidable, I have lost several jobs each time I bounced back way stronger than before. No one is going to determine your level of success but you. Think about your future 5-10 years and build a plan to get there. Stay strong and good luck !

If Kees Bol's goal is about morale and culture, laying off with no severance would be counterproductive. Someone should ask Kees directly.
The likely departments to be affected would be any expendable US-based employees whos projects atr coming to a close. They're still looking for cheaper labor in South Africa so they can definitely afford a severance.
Those of us left holding this place together with tape and glue deserve a severance.
