Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Return to Office

Heard they are getting more strict about it like how other companies have and that they are going to start enforcing it starting next week.

Anyone hear the same thing?

They track your badges, they track the seat booking. They also installed sensors that track movement at the desks. They issue reports on this data weekly. They are tracking if you swipe in, book a desk, show up at the desk for 30 minutes, then leave. It's very 1984. I know the team that issues the reports.

This is mostly correct.

The existing badging system tracks entry access. It isn't new.
The seat booking system the additional tracker.
The thermal tracking basically just picks up hot spots to understand where people are sitting.

The biggest tracker they have is the integration of MS teams which was sold as a way to also track employ productivity.

Do your job, understand your employment isn't guaranteed and don't sell your soul for $ that you can't take with you when you die.

When they eliminate roles there will be plenty of space in HQ locations (Tx and Ny). Other sites are not in multi year plan. Not sure why

The new badging system tracks people in the building. This includes their movements through out the building. This way they know where people are and how long they stay in the building. We each VP will get a weekly report on the status of onsite people.

They can try, but people will be sitting on the floor and stairs. A lot of managers won’t even go along with it.
