DEI is a distraction. Our problem is our CEO is an id--t!. And his leadership team is part of it. They have underperformed their peers. EPS is down. Employee engagement is on the decline. Blake is a narcissist and not a serious leaders. Davos people laugh at him. nVidia sends 3rd rate commercial folks.......The sr vp's blow (Mattheus could do it, but doesnt tolerate the BS) The rest su-k, and Blake watched the best talent walk out. He successfully fought a hostile takeover from emerson at 230/share. 10 years later, you are at 270. Hmmmmm Plex is a purchase that is devastating......leave and leave now if you are young. Quiet quit if you are old. Blake and becky are bottom 10% but are rich. Hopefully they leave in social misery. BTW, arvind needs two coats of wax on Blakes Rivian

Blake is still mad that he was shunned by OISoft. He made a trip to "convince" them.....that worked well. How was his meeting with Terry Gou. Blake supported the Foxconn fraud and fired the guy who tried to manage it when it fell apart. Blake is a sad sack leader. RUN if you are young. Quiet quit if you are old. BTW, anyone who thinks the early retirement HC has value...do your homework. And if becky hugs you.....think Godfather....
Arvind is an Indian rascist
Arvind will convert the RA into an Indian mid level tech company. Sadly, but RA is very close to falling out of the S&P 500 companies club. I retired last year! One of the best decision i have made
RA was PTC's cash cow.. Heppelmann said as much.. they built their building in Boston off the billions RA gave them..
Blake then made the brilliant move to cancel TechED, the 1 event that actually broke even and had opportunity to make a profit while providing valuable information and training to our customers beyond a sales pitch, and make Automation Fair exactly like LiveWorx.. further alienating our customers from actual "training" and instead put fees around every aspect of AF.. Not to mention his cuts targeted domain experts, GPE and others that provided knowledge to customers at these events.
LiveWorx is now cancelled by PTC, sales are down at RA and AF last year was a disappointment in customer attendance and potential lead generation... (as was Boston) I wonder how long Blake will keep AF after that.
Arvind and Blake are geniuses. Let's look at the PTC engagement. No one talks about it anymore and it was spun as a good win that ran it's course. Luckily, the share price did not decline, so avg shareholders and the board remained lazy and fooled. BUT
- The Hemplemens are gone
- The company knows Thingworks is cr-p.
- PTC is back to being a PLM/CAD company
At the beginning,
- the deal looked different and Hempelmen pulled a fast one on Blake (who we know, is not very swift)
- The 10% ownership was the compromise because blake can't negotiate well
- This tied up a significant amount of capital and Blake paused L9 development multiple times (Ki-l the golden goose-brilliant)
- Blake was overheard saying "Hempelmen can su-k the oxygen out of the room
- Blake wasted millions relocating tech ed and rebranding it to mimic the Boston based version by PTC
- Blake could never articulate to senior leaders, the long game
- Blake forced all his leaders together every other week, he would get angry, waste untold effort from the org, all to reach the minimums of ~$30m in Thingworks resell
- Early on, PTC tried to sell us one of their failed acquisitions of analytic tools for $80m. They knew
- We never hit any of the minimums, and in fact, you can locate a earnings call from PTC that "Rockwell had their best OEM quarter ever....." But that is an ommision of complete fact as it could also been added they have yet to reach the agreed upon minimums. Blake was on the board. SEC violation?
- Blakes Sr VP of sales at the time disagreed with this PTC strategy and HE was experienced in selling industrial SW (Blake forced him out too-he didn't "get' it)
- No one who was critical of this is left, only the sycophants who made it happened or the ones who aspire to lead without real leadership qualities
That was just an investment that Rockwell could sell back (they did). How about that Plex!!! $2.33B boat anchor.
Good luck. You will need it. Maybe Emerson, ABB,, SIemens Schneider and Beckhoff will file joint bankruptcy. That is your best chance to get out of the #6 position.
It didn't need to be like this. Thank Susan and Don Parfette. They submarined Frank. He didn't have the right "demeanor". But no one ever remembers. All this is my humble opinion
Arvind Rao should not be anywhere near the top of Rockwell Automation, let alone considered for the CEO position. He was involved in the major mishap where Rockwell Automation lost heavily with their PTC deal, costing the company several hundred million dollars in that ill-fated venture.
Rockwell Automation has a flawed strategy of promoting individuals who make significant business decision mistakes.
From Arvind Rao linkedin. How can one brag about the PTC flop....
'Led a cross functional team through due diligence, financial modeling/valuation, negotiations, partnership agreement and BoD’s approval which resulted in $1B equity investment and strategic alliance with PTC'
Blake Moret-catastrophic CEO.
I'm thrilled Blake Moret got an upgraded jet, a 2024 Bombardier CL-600. Seriously?
Blake is misusing Rockwell Automation's money in all the wrong ways. Senior executives can fly commercial.
Arvind Rao - Another horrible executive person on the Blake Moret can not say NO to Blake club.......
If Arvind is the next CEO, everyone be prepared for leadership to be Indian and everything to move to India.
I heard Arvind Rao is in the running for next CEO. Maybe he and Jane Barr can be co-CEO's That's a brilliant idea. 2 CEO's half the intelligence. Let me count their success monuments to date........um.......uum.........um. Arvind makes nice powerpoints?
Anyway, let's hope that happens as the crescendo of incompetence becomes deafening.
Blake Moret-catastrophic CEO.
And another round will start after earnings call. Mixed results, flat sales. Losses in important areas (Logix, SW, motion) while MCC is doing OK (but that is unsexy, underinvested tech)
Any sales guys can chime in on any inkling of what the Q1 numbers were like? Nervous about the call. There can't be even more cuts, can there?
The Fy25q1 earnings call will be quite telling. New tarrifs with Mexico and China will not be helping the bottom line! I retired 3 months ago. The best decision.
I would much rather have Jane Barr running the company than Blake. Blake is only focused on his own personal gain.
Whomever keeps deleting the posts, Why?
Follow the money on senior executives. Look at the inside knowledge of when they sell off right before quarterly earnings is released. Fishyyyy......

Rockwell's new approach of acquiring software companies at high prices, despite their poor return on investment, isn't the solution. The real issue lies in how far behind Rockwell is in developing its next-generation hardware, which is what's hurting the company. For example, the ControlLogix L8x has been around for over 10 years, and the upcoming L9x processor will only offer twice the speed of the L8x. That’s disappointing. Blake’s decision to prioritize software over hardware is misguided. Both he and his team have failed to invest in the workforce or make significant progress in hardware innovation. They need to be replaced.
Jane might have had the ability 15 years ago, but she’s been reprogrammed to re-org, lay people off and collect checks like the rest. When they bring in new blood with new ideas, they fire them in a year or two, so I’d expect more of the same. Its a shame as it was once a great company and a good place to work.
People say Jane Barr should be CEO and can get the company back on track. Is this true? I don’t see it. Been at RA less than 5 years. Seen nothing but decline
