So I got a text from the union. I work at a md store.Store leadership told us to let them know once we get a text message. Here is what Im telling you. Your days are over of staying all day in the office, your days are over of spending all day watching amazon, youtube, tik tok in your office, your days are over for thinking you own the store, and your days are over for been cheap. We get no appreciation, $h1tty food for xmas n txgiving, $h1tty raises, more work, all leadership dont do sheet and you dont do anything about it, no accountability for “leaders” who spend all day in office, SFAs who come to the store and think they hot shots and dont say hello to anyone or help. They just tell us what we are doing wrong and how to use the hw device. Yes the union is coming and we are going to join it. So there Phiak Yiu!!!
Starting a union in lake grove Long Island store…the STL is the nastiest piece of trash in the company…it’s coming hard
If you are a stl that does not know how to treat people, you need step down on your own by now. It is unreasonable how leadership at regional level let some of these “people” have a jo as a stl. They do not know how to treat people, think they are untouchable, come and treat anyone w no respect, not true leaders. Yes im talking about kentlands, ashburn, arlington, princeton, vienna, bethesda, riverdale park, well a lot of stores in those areas. The “president” needs to clean house and must do it soon or her job is in jeopardy. Union is coming to a town near you. A lot of team members are tired, overworked, underpaid, benefits dropping, pto capped, and they are ready for better benefits.
You're not getting severance, you're getting a PIP. TMS will bully and harass you until you quit. Amazon knows how to thin the herd by driving them off a cliff.
There have been groups of TM's meeting up from the Pittsburgh stores but they are spending too much time debating forming their own union or going with UFCW or the UE. UFCW Local 1776 reps Giant Eagle TM's and UE Local 667 reps the East End Food Co-op Team Members. Looks like they are leaning towards going with UE as the Food Co-op TM's were able to negotiate much better contracts than the Giant Eagle TM's. The newest contract has East End Food Co-op TM's starting wages going from $15 to 18.45/hour with increases of at least 2.5 percent each year at minimum, most cases significantly more. They get paid parental leave, 25% store discount, more paid break time and think their PTO still rolls over and isn't capped like WFM. Co-op TM's also have better health insurance than WFM TM's. Much lower deductibles and max out of pockets. They don't get PWA but WFM TM's have been watching their PWA drops shrink and think it's safe to assume it will go away soon. All the more reason to Unionize my pretties!
Last week, Amazon said it was closing all of its warehouse and logistics operations in Quebec, the Canadian province where unions had gained a foothold among some Amazon workers, and would lay off 1,700 employees.
I guess they can always close the pcc store lol lol lol lol lol lol
But winning a union vote doesn’t ensure that contract talks will progress. Amazon warehouse workers who unionized nearly three years ago still do not have a contract.
By that time most people who voted to unionize will be gone. Not a fun thing but oh well.Congrats pcc!Lead the way and show us how its done.Another store in md planning to join.
yeah ive got 20something years hefting product on mackeys farm...ill take a severance package....
Give severance and I'll leave.
Hopefully more to come!
