Pump up the numbers so the ELT can cash out.

They have to provide notice of any sales well in advance and there are also blackout periods. Show the notices for a substantial increase in planned stock sales from previous quarters to back up your claim.

Pump up the numbers so the ELT can cash out. End of year should be good but after that....

"I thought CSCO went to NASDAQ like 20 (or maybe 19) years ago."

Nasdaq is an exchange. S&P500 is an index.

"CSCO is in the S&P500 so when the index rises, basically the 500 companies rise

S&P500 up -> CSCO up
S&P500 down -> CSCO down"

I thought CSCO went to NASDAQ like 20 (or maybe 19) years ago.

Summer shutdown was cancelled due to US employees being put on "unlimited time off" instead of PTO, and it not being legal in the EU (and could be cancelled in Canada). They would lose money in lost productivity now if they did a summer shutdown, while when US employees were in PTO it was just used to reduce LR payouts due to vacation time owed. The summer shutdown was always about reducing costs or making it cheaper to layoff people, and was never about employee health or wellbeing. Remember that.

I think that the lack of pressure to rush things to recognize revenue before the end of the quarter is a better internal indicator.
No summer shutdown announced either :-)

They will probably make sure the bonus is better to keep people placated for a while after all the LR's

CSCO trades the market

CSCO is in the S&P500 so when the index rises, basically the 500 companies rise

S&P500 up -> CSCO up
S&P500 down -> CSCO down

this tells you not many people are actually buying CSCO individually, just getting it in the index

Likely. The bonus is gonna be pretty good this year.

Don't be fooled by speculation in the market. Just because the stock is rising does not mean the quarter is good or bad. Its only the market speculating. Do yourself a favor, sale when it high and invest the money in other companies. You'll rest easier in the new year.
