The problem with the fires is that the housing was too dense. Because of the fires with time you will see more Californians moving to places like Texas. First Austin then Houston then Dallas and eventually Waco and Tyler. The Democrats are coming. This will be a great thing for all mankind if Texas can flip. Oh, by the way I am an energy professional who cares about people in society more than the almighty petrodollar.

The key wording is “so much”. The whole state is not hills a mountains. There are over 1500 cities in California. Less than 100 have populations over 100,000. Do you really believe democrats in Oakland want to move to Waco because Los Angeles is one big camp fire? Are democrats packing up to move to Lubbock because housing is too dense in their neighborhood in Sacramento? Do you really want to keep making this argument?
There is only so much land to build on. Like everywhere else, they start building on the hills. Access is limited and it's hard to push water uphill. This isn't just a California problem... Seen these homes spring up in Colorado and Montana. Lots of expensive ridgeline homes primed for disaster.
The bigger reason they are coming is because they are being taxed at a very high rate to live in a place that has great weather. Some can't afford the housing costs and taxes and have to move out. Whether Dem or Republican are you willng to pay the taxes and housing prices that are in California? I am not one that welcomes higher taxes and higher housing costs.
You do realize that California takes up most of the west coast and LA is the only part burning? Do you think the whole state is so full, there is no more room for people to live?
This is one of the weirdest posts I’ve read in a while.
So because housing is dense around LA, democrats will move half way across the country to Tyler Texas instead of somewhere else in California. You don’t see anything wrong with that logic?
