I worked at FLNA HQ in Plano and saw my future at the company as bleak. More and more roles being outsourced to Mexico and India. Lack of promotion opportunities after the L8/L9 level due to the rampant favoritism, constant layoffs, and loss of strong and experienced leadership via the “voluntary” retirement packages. Constantly being told to do lateral moves before moving up. I left and got a $40k raise. If you’re under the age of 35, and you feel like you’re not progressing, leave as soon as you can. Don’t stay and be an L6/L7/L8/L9 for who knows how long and expect your loyalty to be rewarded. I sadly saw this too often. There’s so many professional opportunities in the DFW for you to stay stagnant at a company that values you less and less every year. I say under 35 because sadly age discrimination is real. Those old timers with 20+ years experience might have a bit more trouble, as obviously the higher you are in an organization, the harder it is to find an equal level role in another. But if you’re under L10, I’d leave if I were you. Just my take.

Get out before the March reorg. If the job market goes south, you’d be better off being proactive versus reactive.
should be no surprise the place is turning negative numbers, pretty much no one at FLNA Plano cares anymore, they just show up, go through the motions and collect a paycheck
What VRP package are the "old timers" looking for? The last golden VRP package gave them one year of full pay and benefits to stay home and slide into their pension retirement. Any "old timer" who passed that up is looking to be laid off. I wish I was eligible for that golden egg VRP!!
Many "old timers with 20+ years" are waiting for that package to come and thinking we will be well out of here when it does.
@aq+1jjcqqws4. L2=bottom of the barrel. payroll at frito.

I have been a L2 for 20 years and have been waiting for my package for 5 years.
