So for the markets that are now SMP, plus doing remote installs, plus remote deinstalls, and where we're only recruiting basics while alts get phone calls, are those of us MRs and FRs in these markets basically testing out how Nielsen can phase us out with mostly remote work? Also, I heard that RI recruits basically get told the absolute bare minimum and FRs are the ones taking the blame for any backouts and misinformation and concerns...how is the lack of recruits fair for MRs, and the lack of info to the HH fair for FRs? I feel like this time next year, markets will FRs and MRs cut 50%, since remote work from specialists in a call center are taking over recruits, installs and deinstalls, on top of the work the roc already does...

Yes. This is 100 % what is happening. They are going to the Audio model. Audio has 1-3 reps that do it all in each market. Leadership is not even hiding it. Pay attention to the job listings. Audio openings are internal only. They want TAM reps to go to Audio so there are less people on the TAM markets.
Maybe the trump administration will go back to a penalty type of punishment for taking jobs out of the United States
Leadership protects leadership. They are rubber you are glue. Everything bounces off of them and sticks to you. You are the least empowered and the least paid but the first to go.
MRs and FRs needed to unionize a long time ago.
It seems like RIs are being given the same level of trust like the current sneaky MRs within the markets. Limited expectations are expressed to new panelists and they think they’re basically going to just get paid for watching tv. They’re in for a rude awakening when the ROC begins to harass them days after install for the interim call, for information that was collected within a few weeks by the MR and then reconfirmed with the FR at installation. RIs call from recorded lines, so why is upper management not monitoring the everliving he-l out of those calls and critiquing every single call??
PRS here! I think you’re spot on. The proof is in the pudding with all of the talks of building the GCC in Mexico. I believe leadership said they hope to have it built and fully staffed by end of the year in 2026 (I could be wrong, I was irate and stopped fully listening to the depressing townhall when they mentioned this). If you think the overdue items for FRs is bad, go pull a list of overdue flags, interims, remote scheds etc for your field area. The lack of accountability the top leaders are allowing is absurd and disgraceful. Some of us have been trying to flag the attention of how bad it is, but no one seems to really care. I would be very scared to be in a FR or MR position, I know the PRS’ are just waiting for our show to be halted and kicked to the curb by the lovely new hires will staff to the GCC in Mexico.
It’s completely unfair, and they are definitely looking for ways to phase out MRs and FRs hoping they will leave in their own so they don’t have to pay severance or unemployment. Expectations for the field are becoming more unrealistic and deadlines for the FRs are going to go overdue because of the increased workload and reduction in force. It makes you wonder if the people making these decisions don’t have a clue, or want to see Nielsen fail.
