Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

Is NGINX stealing our bonus?

It was announced that NGINX is introducing one more multiplier in the already awful way of calculating the bonus.

So for the Q1 you will be receiving a paycut of 10% in your bonus if you are NGINX employee.

Were you aware of that?

Is that even legal?

"is more valuable despite the lack of revenues"

Dream on, dream on. Especially after recent changes and the introduction of the (messy) subscription model. Some "geniuses" at the top took an example from Zuck and forced the "move fast and break things" approach. Good luck!

That's the message! NGINX is more valuable despite the lack of revenues to show for. It's who you know, not what you know

“ We are trying to reduce costs…”

by keeping and hiring more middle management and directors whose job is to pass nonsense from the tower, juggling jira tickets, distracting engineers, and talking career progression nonsense at 1:1 meetings. All of that without accountability and responsibility to deliver worthwhile results.

Almost assuredly legal in the US. I'm guessing NGINX either overran its budget and/or has been asked to improve its margins.

I can confirm that the change in the bonus for NGINX is valid now not next year, that was announced in the last Town Hall. Yes we have a bonus paycut this Q1.

How lucky! NGINX gets a bonus when the rest will not until end of fiscal year. Which if only one survives a layoff
Sounds like NGINX group is more valuable.
