Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

I am not impressed by HVEC

Ive worked with these HVEC teams in India for years now. At first I thought they just needed time but now I am convinced they aren’t getting any better and the entire world will suffer if we continue to migrate work to them and ki-l our domestic capability.

.... I have worked a whole bunch of them who take no initiative in their work. They need a lot of hand holdings or maybe they brought their "caste" mentality along with them at work. I am agast at their work ethics and the way how they managed their work...

The above is very very on point. I have observed exactly the same. They do exactly what they are told to do, no initiative, no creativity and no further development. If this is where the industry is, and this is all it needs, then those youngsters in the West need to find another industry to realise their potential.

BTC rocks. You old useless americans, we are su-king your knowledge out of your heads without you even noticing when you fix our mistakes. And your jobs too. Goodbye su-kers. Go BTC go.

They have the intelligence but in the wrong way. I have seen the way how they bull sh-t their way through management, looking like they know when they actually don't. That is a skill that I wasn't able to master after years of observing them. They promise the sky and the moon but is able to deliver only a minimal amount. I have worked a whole bunch of them who take no initiative in their work. They need a lot of hand holdings or maybe they brought their "caste" mentality along with them at work. It’s a real nightmare over there especially considering it’s a third world … not for the weak of heart. The industry will suffer greatly at the hands of Indians

They can learn to do some basics, but independent thought and creativity seem to be foreign to the culture. Very conservative in every move.

Not a recipe for success.

I have dealt with BTC engineers making potentially dangerous mistakes for 3 years.

It seems that EM Management do not want to hear about mistakes and forbid tracking percent or severity of mistakes by BTC.

Head in sand.

Root cause potential is on the increase.

Interesting to see what the investigation report states when some thing goes wrong with our new norm for technical support… Didn’t Longford say something about technical resources not being too far from the field. But we think we know better

They really don’t care about work. Just doing easy time stamping Exxon in cv and jump to the next title, salary or HC10 visas.

Cheap PhDs. Sorry guya which in turn cheap labor in the US. Elites thought they could move in folks all over the world for cheap labor like they did post WW1 and 2.

Having been to Bangalore and seen India with my own eyes i question why anyone would want Indians to build, operate, or maintain anything! They can’t even run their own country well why in the world would we want their “help” running anything!
