President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday ending “radical and wasteful” diversity, equity and inclusion programs in federal agencies, with DEI offices and programs being ordered to shut down.

Let’s hope the company is not paying one dime for pride parade or for lunch and learns. If it is company paid then the stockholders are footing the bill.
How can intelligent competent professions fall for this cr-p.
Like the last administration suggested, learn to write code.
You better do your best to hold onto your job. With these programs on the chopping block, who’s going to hire you now?
I am generally concerned how and even if these poor souls are going to make it through the next four years. The body can only take so much screaming and trembling.
DT is a fu--ing id--t. Case closed.
Like I said who voted for this mo--n. Whoever voted for him will get the negative consequences from his poor decision making and communication. What a sh-t show this administration is. Shame on you oil company people for putting yourselves ahead of the nation. Make America great. What bullsh-t. We were great but won’t be after this a--hole is done. And think of people instead of money.
Did anyone see what DT is trying to pull with the plane crash. He is blaming it on Diversity programs without any evidence. He is unfit to be president and is offensive to sane people. Who voted for this clown?
Good, go to Walmart hehehe
VH is better than Chasen… uppss
Target is rolling back its diversity, equity and inclusion programs, joining major companies like Walmart, Meta and McDonald’s.
@sw+1jj71mcg7, oh if I could only be there in person to watch that smirk fade away when the DIB department gets sent packing.
Awww a white male feeling left out, how cute
This is one executive order that is right on target and let’s hope private industry follows the lead
HR and management do their job? Are you serious? This is Oxy? Are you really serious?
@aj+1jj71mcg7, so can you say that again in one or two sentences?
At Oxy, the "DIB" (Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging) program is materially different from many of the "DEI" programs in the government. As a former "HR" Officer for a federal agency, sadly many of the well-intentioned programs at the federal level eventually boiled down to quotas where managers were judged on a single factor - how many minorities and women were at different levels -- with rewards and "punishments" based on this.
Oxy's DIB program is different in that we are looking at a variety of "affinity" groups, including a focus on things like neuro-diversity (high-performance autism is present in many in high performance businesses -- look at Elon Musk as one example). To my knowledge anyway, there are no "quotas" similar to what the federal government's programs have become.
The programs divide workers and are not needed as long as HR and management do their jobs.
