Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Project Stargate…

I was expecting to see Chuck with Trump yesterday. 500B infrastructure deal and Cisco is not a major player. Cisco needs a piece of that pie.

Chuck has said that DEI is here to stay in CSCO - they will just keep it out of view. Much like the universities have said they will do on their diversity hiring, paraphrasing: "think diversity, value diversity, reward diversity, vote diversity (for hiring), but never, ever say it or write it".
It will just drive the racism underground

Cisco was not invited into the project because they do not any AI worth noting and the networks equipment is not up to standard for such advanced data centers.

Sad truth is Cisco has become the Studebaker of big tech.

Chuck is too busy firing the 500 Brown and Black "Directors of Inclusion" and scrubbing sharepoint and training materials. Why you may ask? He just found out that Federal Contractors with DEI programs will be booted

Sad

Go kiss the ring Chuckie

AI su-king on the government teet was not on my bingo card.

Obviously you aren't playing Billionaire Bingo. You didn't think they want to completely remove the debt limit to help the poor did you?

Cisco won't be involved. AI is just a distraction by CR to avoid showing investors how much of a sh-tshow the company has become

Cisco isn't part of this administration for various non-business related reasons.. You are smart enough to read between the lines... It's no surprise Cisco was left out...

However, also left out(at least so far).. PAN, Arista, HPE, Dell, Juniper, etc.

Ai will first “augment” your job (by eliminating other’s jobs.
Then, it will “augment” the AI Oligarchy by eliminating your job.

To Serve Man is a cookbook.

This will be extraordinarily inflationary. Energy prices will skyrocket pushing every other category higher.

OP you’re trolling, Nvidia will provide its chips and networking stack. Microsoft can also can provide security on top of its other services. What does Cisco have to offer this point?

Lmao. Cisco is a legacy tech company and is nowhere relevant in the AI space.

Yes, the largest AI infrastructure project in history – a $500bn joint venture between OpenAI, Oracle and SoftBank that aims to build a network of data centres across the US. The new partnership, dubbed Stargate, aims to construct essential data centers and computing infrastructure needed to power artificial intelligence development. I hope Cisco is involved in this exciting project.
