Returnship program

And if you are sacked, don't despair as you may be able to return like so many others have through this program:

In 2019, Chevron launched the Welcome Back Returnship Program (the “Returnship Program”). The Returnship Program is a 12-week program designed to support, develop, and hire talented individuals who are returning to the workforce after having left it for personal or family reasons. The Returnship Program provides career development training, coaching support, mentorship, and formal training. The Company runs the program on a rolling basis to meet business needs in STEM and non-STEM functions. Successful participants begin full-time, permanent positions at Chevron upon completion. To date, the program has proven successful. Ninety-three percent of the participants who have finished the Returnship Program attained regular employee positions. Chevron is also collecting demographic information about those hired through the Returnship Program (on a voluntary basis) for the purpose of assessing its impact in the future. The data so far suggest that minority populations are benefiting from the program.

When men have babies and raise them, maybe we will see a man in the program.

Putrid HR posting. As others have mentioned, "Returnship Program" was solely intended to re-introduce hand-picked 30-something women (mostly high-pots) who took time off to be mothers, so they wouldn't "fall behind" on their (or DEI's) managerial aspirations. Forget that nothing can fast-track missed experience. It was never (and won't be) intended to re-introduce laid-off people "back to Chevron". They laid you off for a reason, they're not looking to bring you back, at any point. Any EOI people (or anyone receiving a severance package) will be told they have to wait 6 months to a year before you can even be considered as consultants. If you're laid off (or EOI), your future is NOT with Chevron. Chevron has cut ties with you, don't fantasize that you're coming back.

If you read the intent of the program, you will see that white males are excluded from this program. It is solely intended for women returning to the workforce. I am in Houston and can tell you the only people I have seen on this program have been women. Not one single man.

This program benefits moms who leave the workforce to raise a family and then want to return to work but have gap years in the cv. This is not for people who were laid off in a Chevron ROM.
