Management changes not good

Recently got a new manager.
I am told that I now have 2 supervisors and 2 managers that can give me work.
I can say that's been interesting in not a good way so far.

The new manager does not seem to trust anyone. And this manager has made assumption about wjat i jave done for certain tasks and her assumptions were 100 percent wrong but for some reason she has made up her mind.

Documenting everything I do is not fun and I have been told everytime I apparently have done something wrong even for very mundane things that I would think an ll5 manager wound not waste their breath on much less notice.

At this point I probably need to change jobs within or outside of ford. This is starting to seem crazy to me I like having autonomy for my work but with the new manager I suppose that is not going to happen.

the worst thing about working at ford is if you get a bad manager and/or supervisor. if you get a good one, ford is a really good place to work.

You need to get another job outside of Ford. Management is treating you this way since they are documenting rational to get rid of you. It is easier to find another job by while employed. Take the hint, find a better job, and leave gracefully. At your exit interview , say everything at Ford is wonderful and don’t give any honest feedback.

GTC is a model of managements incompetence, and they could care less about their employees.

@OP. Been there, done that, not worth it. If salary is really good, and is taking too long to find another job, keep documenting everyhting. With a "she" manager, you never know.

While I know some good "she" managers, the rest of them are insecure people, that reached their position by politics or sax work. Therefore, they have no clue and want to change the rules to show they are in control, causing a lot of issues, and then blaming someone else for it. Your new manager seems to fit that profile.

If pay is not good, average at best, just try a side move inside FMC, while keep looking outside.

Good luck!

Honestly I am probrobably borderline malicious compliance at this point. Over communicate and see what happens either way I am going to look for an exit.

@ak+1jhtswjnx You have to get out of that department. That’s ridiculous.

When i say document everything i do i mean more of what I did for the day/status... literally things like i talk to so and so about this topic and this was the result. Or i completed 10 out of 20 widgets today.

Attempting to micromanage you like that - it sounds like they are insecure about their position in the work place. Therefore, this is a no win situation for you. Consider changing jobs and let that ship sink. If the manager is like that with you now and wasting valuable LL5 time on meaningless cr-p that's a sign of a dysfunctional department and you should leave. Documenting everything you do is good, but it's also a potential sign that they want someone else to be able to do your job. Of course you need to take vacation, but depends on the context and situation in which you are being asked. LL5's get paid a lot and if they aren't having an LL6 do the needful they shouldn't have an LL5 paycheck. Bottom Line. I'd look outside of Ford and automotive for that matter. They are trying to extend the dance as long as they can by trying to recruit HTHD people. But Chinese automakers are going to take over and Ford is having to license out their battery technology. We cannot lock them out of the American market forever and they are squeezing them out of China which used to be some of the most profitable ventures for GM and Ford. The writing is being shown to you, but you must read it.
