Just Curios non- computer related major working on h1b,?

Why do service-based companies have individuals with non-technical or non-computer-related majors on H-1B and L-1 visas, considering that H-1B is intended for technical roles? How are they eligible for such visas?

Offshore just puts bodies and warns money. Only 25% of all offshore actually work... Rest are bodies for money. That industry is called body shopping.

Vilfredo Pareto proposed 80 , 20 rule.
Body warmers are backup for workers , if they leave they comes as replacement.
if you see H1b replacing locals, h1b get replaced by New H1B or Opt.
And The fu**ker goes on.
One easy rule this service can do , who ever have manager role can send back to India, and they have real people working

f you saw a chef on an H1B or someone with a civil engineering bachelor's approved on H1B for a Tech job in software engineering, it's a complete failure on the department of USCIS. The rules need to be re written.

I have seen people with B.A (bachelor Arts) , M.A (master in arts) from India working was a manger in tools, STS, Tools, and many org from service side.
Bachelors in electronics , electrical also and many hired in Schwab.

H1B is only for applicable for STEM jobs, period. It should also depend on the education qualifications required for the job. If you saw a chef on an H1B or someone with a civil engineering bachelor's approved on H1B for a Tech job in software engineering, it's a complete failure on the department of USCIS. The rules need to be re written. Anyone would abuse a law with a work around. It's a no brainer. And yes this is coming from an H1B with CS bachelor's and CS masters. I don't know why this great country would allow someone from electrical engineering on an H1B to be my superior.

There are accountants in some companies with an H1B visa. I refuse to believe there is an accountant shortage in this country.

These service-based companies (TCS, Infosys) have headquarters in India. There is obviously immigration fraud involved to bring people into the US who are nothing special. Then these workers bring their families and it becomes a whole chain migration issue.

MGM Grand @Vegas hired 25 Chefs on H1b in 2024. Is it a technical role? depends on how you look at it.
