Why is CYBER WOLF so quite now? Tell us CYBE how does it really work.
CSA raises are based on multi manager review ratings. Your manager rates you and puts in the numbers, then their manager or director adjusts all his reports to what they want and then it goes to the VP who then puts the final numbers in. After each step the numbers are locked so that the lower approver cannot change them. So many times, line managers get the final approved numbers back for raises and mysteriously the original numbers have been bumped up or down. This is quite the case in CSA when a previous OCE employee who is rated low are bumped up two levels by a Senior Director or VP also previously from OCE and the manager has no say. It's amazing how VPs from service and marketing can so visibly allow this behavior, or even HR is not looking.
CSA raises barely stayed ahead with the increases in health care deductions, to say nothing about Bidenflation. But for those who may not know, when CUSA was still in Lake Success and CSA HQ was there also, sometime in 2010, CSA HQ had to change hours from 9-5 to 830-5 to line up with the field sales offices time frame, essentially a 12.5 increase in hours worked for NO salary increase.
So CYBER WOLF, your comments are interesting. I was wondering and based on one of the posts I decided to go to LI. I couldn't find anything, but then I only have the free version, so I asked my wife who has the paid version which allows you to do some amazing searches. I wouldn't say there were tons, but there were quite a few promotions not only in the previous CSA but I was amazed to see promotions in CUSA. Based on the discussions in the postings it really doesn't look like these people just got a realignment in the title. Which honestly, doesn't make any logical sense for CUSA employees. I guess I would also ask, if your comment was true, then how is it that the HR structure in a CUSA subsidiary was so miss aligned with corporate HR. Quite a mess don't you think, CYBER WOLF.
To the previous poster, if the comments are incorrect than go and read the congratulations and comments on a well disserved promotion. You see, on LinkedIn you can also see who the people are posting congratulations and what company they work for. So, either all of these people's peers that work at Canon are incredibly stupid or they are actually congratulating a promotion. ROTFL
First, most of these comments are incorrect. The LinkedIn posts are just folks who were not promoted but have a new title with the shift to CUSA. (Title shift announcements) There have been no salary increases! And no, CSA did not have a bunch of promotions; many people's titles were downgraded to match the hierarchy of titles in CUSA. Before making any comments, please report facts and not assumptions.
They are probably just changing CSA to CUSA on LinkedIn and it makes appear you are starting a new role. I know nobody who is in a new role since January 1. They are just shuffling reporting structures to the same small group of managers that I have always dealt with. It’s all for show, some might say, Kabuki Theater.
CSA handed out a ton of promotions, which I would assume comes with a salary increase over what will come in April. If you don't believe me just log onto LinkedIn and see how many people from CSA, "sorry old CSA" that announced their new roles.
This is not the annual raise we are talking about this is raises for cutting hours. If your hrs got cut then you got a slight raise to cover the difference so there is no change in your pay. So you got a raise bit your paycheck did not change.
Raises, now? The former CSA would get crumb for increases in April, no matter how hard you worked. You would have to give your life to get an excellent in your performance review and now that’s think about it I’m not sure the increase would be worth it. Prior to the merger did CUSA get increases in January?
Did your time change to 9-5 from 830-5 salary increases were only if your hours got cut. If your time did change then yes you need to talk to someone.
They don’t do raises until April, but even then it’s crumbs, just enough to buy a pack of gum and maybe let your date get cheese on their burger on your night out.
