Ex-Cisco here. I used to have Meraki gear in my home. When I left I lost access to the cheap licenses, so I switched to Meraki Go. Just very recently I found out that Cisco has announced EOS/EOL for Meraki Go. Under the announcement in the Meraki Community, I found this and it‘s accurate for anything new-ish Cisco has tried in the last decade or so: „As usual they spin up a business, underfund it, never learn how to market to anyone […] and then wonder why it's not growing fast enough and ki-l it off.“

Ubiquity is the cure for all meraki woes
It's not a marketing problem, they market pretty well actually. It's a delivery problem. They'll tell the whole world about some revolutionary product they created, which is just a jumble of acquired products they cobbled together to call a new "product", can't ever get the 17,000 different BU's that comprise the product to work together to deliver it, then eventually just give up and EOL it.
It's pretty funny to watch from the outside actually. Cisco has grown so inept they can't even develop products in house anymore. When's the last time they came out with a product they developed in house? DNA Center/Cat9K? How'd that go?
Cisco is where products go to die. It's a product graveyard.
How can you discount Meraki HW, it's the cheapest reference design crud they get on their boondoggle shopping trips to China? And Meraki HW is so technically incompetent, I don't think they can actually make technical choices. You're getting the HW from whoever gave them the best dinner in Taiwan.
I could have sworn I read half of Cisco's revenue is now in recurring subscription fees. DEC's Alpha was so much more reliable than their VAXen that they lost a massive amount of support revenue, and if someone comes after Cisco with software that works the first time Cisco is toast.
Nothing cool from Meraki has been announced in ages.
I thought the meraki discounts(at least hardware) were paused. Can we get discounts on meraki licenses?!

Mildly worried here.
