The company is desperately trying to shake off the older US employees.
It is more than likely that most NA roles
Especially, roles that can performed remotely, will be outsourced to India.
The covid pandamic helped the company pilot the the “remote work” and allowed the company to determine which roles exactly can be easily outsourced to India (or Poland). The individual contributor roles in US are not in good position. Luckily, I was able to retire last year.
The company is top heavy with too many managers. SVPs, VPs, Directors, Managers. Look on teams, you can find managers who only have 1-3 direct reports under them. These new layoffs need to be happening at the manager level and above. How about getting rid of managers who only approve vacation and do PADR reviews and put skilled people in those manager positions. People who can do a hybrid role of a manager and still carry their own weight and work side by side with the people they manage. Blake and his entire SVP crew su-k a@@!!!!!!!
Which departments? Global? Man that company is hemorrhaging talent and money.
