Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

What is the office situation at Parsippany?

Is there in space in Parsippany or Jersey City to house everyone they expect to be back in the office, with the 4 days a week nonsense ??

Didn’t AIG purchase a company that has a Parsippany footprint? If I remember correctly, AIG employees in that area did go to that office for RTO, but not 100% sure.

Peter Zaffino’s 2025 goals sent this week discussed emphasizing in-person collaboration so we may see more return to the office mandates. It’s what most companies are doing this year so not sure that AIG is in the forefront of this initiative.

If Jersey City is rumored to be closed then where will people be sent? Not philly?

Good question as there are rumors that the jersey city office is going to be closed.

Which team are you with requiring 4 days a week in Jersey City / Parsippany? How was it communicated?

I work in Europe, I suspect that they want to cut heads until there is enough space, not kidding. Afterall, after we sold everything that generated some profit to artificially pump stocks and fill senior management pockets, ROE is still terrible and they have no idea how to improve performances. Their great idea is firing everyone and replace all employees with AI.
