When we together (in person) amazing things happen

A core message of the upcoming SETH is that: We all need to return to the office, because when we are together "amazing things happen".

Please let's not bring up how this directly contracts us offshoring 20-30% of our people to India for cost savings

The thing is we are returning to cr-ppier offices and less space than was in the office pre work from home. You want RTO? Make the office something I actually want to return to.

If by “amazing things” you mean the spreading of germs, I couldn’t agree more. My whole group and people from another group that sits near us have been passing a nasty bug for weeks now. How? People now are paranoid about coming to work because of the bed checks that the attendance tracker allows managers to perform. Brilliant, right? I have been hogging the same room since I came back from vacation & have no intention of sitting in open space with the Petri dishes that my colleagues have turned into.

Great, refineries and field operators work at their locations. The rest of the office based staff can WFH

It’s not a contradiction: 20-30% of the company will be working together in person - in India.

We could work 40 hours a week from the moon and we’d still be fahucked by our underlying problems

Spotify has elected to treat their employees like adults and keep remote. What a concept.

Get over it. Hybrid is dead. Every other week another major organization announces the death of hybrid. Get back to the office. If you don't like it quit and start your own business.
