Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Once fiber is gone

Gone will be the convenient excuse for the incompetence of leadership. From the perspective of employees, nobody will come out better off. All we can expect is more cuts and mgmt failures.

To those saying, “Go back to your lives and be grateful,” do you even realize there are many of us who genuinely care about our work? Week after week, we dedicate more time—both during and beyond business hours—trying to make CCi succeed than anything else we do. We take pride in our efforts, even when leadership discounts those of us who do everything asked, hold on to hope, and keep going despite having leaders who aren’t competent in their roles.

We’ve faced challenges we shouldn’t have, yet we continue to believe we can make a difference, hit after hit. The Crown means something to us. We care about the people who call Crown their second home and want to see this company thrive.

Here’s a thought: reduce the middle layer of incompetent VPs and directors—the ones who fake it, double-talk, and lead areas they don’t understand. Cutting them would save wasted spending and eliminate endless meetings that go nowhere except to showcase their own voices. Let’s invest in the people who truly care and know what they’re doing—that’s how we’ll make a real difference.

Nah, looks like it may have been Dan trying to get TPG to pony up $8B instead of the original $5B for fiber

That’s TPG dropping the article so crown will sell. This way investors can put pressure on them to sell it bc it looks like crown won’t sell it.

Fiber isn’t going anywhere. Crown can’t sell it at a price worth selling it for.
