It’s today- “D” day is today- just got my email.
How many numbers are impacted tomorrow ?
Higher likely hood would be tomorrow, half way through a pay period etc.
Is there anything since the Kennedy era that makes sense here?
Just complete uselessness all around.
They’ve announced layoffs at all hands in the past and then done them after.

Hang in there. There is life after Avaya. True story. When I was offered the package. I said no. 10 business days to make a major life/career decision? I was too young. No way I could retire. I printed out the form. Signed it and checked the no box. Couple of Mondays later I was checking my email, we have to have your answer faxed in by close of business today. I was standing at the fax machine when I remembered what my previous coach told me when he left the company, "I have never quit anything in my life, I told myself, next quarter it's going to get better, in 6 months it's going to turn around, next year Avaya will be a totally different company, then I realized that it's never going to get better only worse". I reached for the white out, changed the no to a yes, waited for the white out to dry and faxed in the form. This was a few years back. Avaya was great to me when I left, I suspect things are different now. Today? I'd hang on till the end. Do the same. Good luck.
