I’ve seen a couple of comments on this page about the Austin office closing in 2026 & was wondering if anyone could provide any more info? Of course, this site is all rumors but often there’s some truth behind the rumors, so curious if anyone has more info. I was around for the “Geo Strat’ almost 10 years ago but now can’t remember how much time we were told before hand- it impacted mostly CA employees so did not pay too much attention. Thanks!

Phoenix peak as well to be potentially downsized
If Schwab has to cut costs and consolidate locations, they may cut Austin even though there are employees there and even if they own a building. They cut and downsized locations in 2023 with limited concern about populations affected. Is there any major work group or leadership in Austin?
There will be no Austin employees to be negatively impacted.
If they sell the campus to Baylor, I worry this will negatively impact Austin employees.
Leadership has stated that in-person work helps foster collaboration, team building, and professional development which, in turn, helps foster one of the hallmarks of the Schwab organization: a uniquely rich culture.
Maybe I have misunderstood what was meant by “rich culture”. Does it mean the shareholders will get even more rich with the sell of the campus?

We own it.
Wow, misinformed much? IBM used to own it, they sold it off to Schwab a long time ago. Schwab _definitely_ owns the Gracy Farms campus. Get your facts straight kiddo.
Schwab cannot "sell" the Austin campus to Baylor or anyone else due to the simple fact that they don't own it. It's leased from IBM. At least get your facts straight before you decide to spread a hoax.
They're in talks to sell it to Baylor U who want to open a satelite campus in Austin.
Who said they're closing Austin? I never heard anything about that and I don't think they would ever do that.
Lone Tree
close tech side of lone tree office and send all Visa / Service people to Texas, Arizona that would help in save money .
