Pay Bump Practice for LL5

Interviewing for a LL5 role. When I got my LL6, it was a flat rate with no possibility of negotiation. Curious if LL5 pay bump will work the same way. Anybody care to provide detail how it works? Would be nice to know.

The LL salary ranges and management bonus payments are all published on the company’s public corporate site. Use Google.

The negotiation is simple, you set the value you are willing to work for, if they offer you that or more, accept the position. If they are $1 short, you turn it down. If they don’t come back and offer you more, then you aren’t worth it.

OP here, i can assure you this is not a troll post. I ascribe to this site as there is a lot of commentary that speaks the truth of what the internal Ford environment is. Because of this, I greatly respect many of those that post here. I have survived as long as I have because I know have to navigate Ford and where to get info.

The original post has got to be a troll post. There’s no way someone would think it would be appropriate to ask that question on a lay off site.

LL5s are the most important leaders in the company. They are the ones who make things go. Make the tough decisions and delegate. LL6s on the other hand now are more for doing the work that human resources should be doing and which they did do in the past.

Good luck to the OP.

What ever LL you are, just parrot the highest LL in the room and do what he does. If you aren't sure what to do, have everyone RTO or work a Saturday once a month or so on a "hot job". Single out a lower level unpopular LL for occasional public humiliation.

If you have an offer from a competing company, you can disclose that offer and see what happens. You should only do this if you actually have an offer, since they can chose to match the offer or not.

Survived over 25 years by keeping my ear to the ground, and finger in the air to gauge what direction the wind is blowing. This site helps in reading the tea leaves in all the daily chaos that is Ford.

Typical tone deaf LL6. I hope you get laid off.

People applying for LL5 should not be focused on a layoff site. It goes against the koolaid

why are you going on a layoff site to ask this question?
