I no longer work at EM, but my spouse does and I am listed on their health insurance as a dependent. We just received our benefit cards and, though there are two cards, my spouse is listed on both with no mention of me. I called BCBSTX at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday and was able to talk to a representative who confirmed I am listed on the policy and that the duplicate cards are correct, I will not be listed, but my doctor will be able to pull up my benefits using the member and group ID. Just wanted to see if anyone here is experiencing a similar situation.

I have three kids. None are listed on my bcbs card.
Aetna in 2024 had member only cards. Dependents did not have their own. BCBS is the same.
Saving money by not printing each covered member’s name on separate cards but providing separate cards with the employee name for each family member. Is this a Leading Indicator of stupidity incoming?

OP here. Thanks, I do see where I am listed as a dependent on the website. I was a little freaked out since I had so many problems walking into a providers office and being told I didn't have medical insurance when we were with Aetna. I was also pleased that I was able to reach a BCBSTX representative on a weekend, maybe it's 24 hours customer service?
It’s all good - when you login to online account (may have to create it), you can see everyone.
I noticed my card didn't have my daughter on it though I swear I put her on the policy.
It weirded me out that I don't have a separate card for her like I did with Aetna.
I have to further investigate...
Thanks for the reminder!
