Can confirm that Cisco Meraki is no longer hiring American network support engineers. They are only hiring in Mexico and India to cut salary costs.

I would propose to cut any tax reliefs for those US companies that move more and more jobs outside of the US.

I personally hope Cisco loses all their business with us federal.

I look forward to giving up television and the Internet to have an American made copy of a Volksempfänger in every home. If only we hadn't burned all the books explaining how to write in English.

I personally hope Cisco loses all their business with us federal. If you don’t support this country then you don’t deserve any of its business .

Which jobs are going to India?

Which one's aren't. Almost all internal support comes from India. HelpDesk, IT, Webex, Duo, etc. Anything you open a case for, expect it to sit until the middle of the night US time and then someone from India will reach out to you on Webex. The conversation looks like this:

Hi
Regarding INC1234567

And then they either put the case in pending or even close it with a comment saying "reached out to the customer via Webex. No response from customer".

Isn't the TAC moving to India and/or Mexico?

Cisco has become an attack vector from China because so much is offshored.

USA Department of Defence should never trust Cisco.

If they want to make cost cuts then Cisco’s executives roles should be outsourced to India because those knuckleheads gets paid too damn much. Love to see their reactions when the table is turned on them.

Most positions have been replicated in India so it’s just a matter of time.

As has been pointed out many times over many years here Cisco was trying to get Americans to move to India for a massive pay cut more than two decades ago. Based on posts like this those left in the US at Cisco are far too stupid to remain employed anywhere.

If the US Federal government actually cared about their citizens, they would begin to incrementally cut Cisco from federal contracts.

Too easy to back door routers and firewalls when development is overseas.
