Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Xerox CEO

At what point are people going to realize that this Steve B, is completely full of S! Come on man! Be a leader take care of the people that keeps this together. Going around giving your stupid little pep talks talking about you mentor companies and sales force, you need to just drop it! Nobody is buying what you’re selling. The only ones that care are all the brownose people kissing you’re behind. It’s pathetic seeing them shake their heads and praising your false prophecy. It’s simple stop talking all that junk and do us all a favor and walk away. I’m disgusted with you.

Steve B is literally a complete joker. The amount of posts from the brown noses on linked in with him confirms the idiocy and ignorance of them to think this is some incredible transformation/change from the usual business of selling copiers! The future for xerox is print - which is dying! Get real and invest in new technologies or do M&A with real growth prospects.

Water is wet
The sky is blue

This has been a 20 yr problem. The powers that be back to the late 90s haven’t had an answer for the digital age. So the only lever is to remove cost. If you think this is a new problem that you just figured out I’m sorry to tell you that 32000 people have been saying the same thing for over 20 years.

Incompetent management that blames you for their bad decisions. Then uses you and complains you are not working hard or smart enough. People having no clue on what the customer needs or expects from them.

Really makes me wanna work there !!

Mmmm….Not so much….

No lie, my manager looks like a high school girl talking to her boothang whenever he's on the phone with a rep so SB dropping a load of cookie cutter vague BS on him would put his ego to the moon.

Anytime a company prints or copies today, they complain about the need to do so, and mostly look for a digital way to solve the problem. Positive attitude doesn’t change the fact that this is a dying business, there will be a market 10 years from now, but it will be a fraction of what it is today. Consolidation will continue, this shrinking market must result in a shrinking, less costly workforce. In the case of print, bringing offshore jobs back will only result in faster demise. I have an exit plan, everyone should.

Funny story, bro, but the board has no interest in growing the company only keeping it afloat until someone buys it. The Rockstars still depending on X should fantasize that eventually the board will realize nobody wants to buy X and then "somebody will have to think of something."

Xerox is first and foremost a sales organization. It's their nature to be positive and sunshine-y. As much as we can hear the BS in it. Over time, the positivity becomes the message. It does take more than just talk though. Xerox should get back to its roots of selling and stop trying to measure things that don't have metrics. We used to be a company focused on quality and customers. Employees mattered and when employees are happy, they help sell the product. I would like to see Xerox not only survive and find its footing, but to thrive and actually be a great place to work again. Pep talks should involve bringing offshored jobs back to America and outsourced/contract jobs back to part-/full-time employees. Having a positive message is a good thing either way.
