Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

This week's layoffs

Is there any way to know how many were laid off this week, in total? We seem to be in a never-ending cycle of layoffs and it's truly starting to take a toll on my health, both mental and physical. What's the end goal here? To move ALL operations to cheaper countries? Is that the only way this management knows how to keep the company from failing?

Things are pretty bad when sales are laid off or they're seriously not making their numbers. Typically BUs that don't directly contribute to the bottom line are OVERHEAD first considered because they're easily replaced by outsource.

Not all I heard 25% of US has to be cut. I think hospitality and sales cuts are this month with finance to follow.

You all know thanksgiving is just around the corner. NCR has a tradition of laying off just before thanksgiving or just after. Mike and the LT have to justify those huge year end bonuses they dont deserve while you get crumbs if anything.

Not sure total but I know a few. I think Sales/hospitality is first and Finance will be second round (next month).

I know of at least 15 people from Namer hospitality that were let go. Not sure what the total number was but these were people i worked with.

The goal is to keep minimum numbers of employees in US and replace them with people in Serbia.

Just know each layoff is met with balloons and champagne popping in upper management. Remember how excited they were about the split.
