The Chipotle down the street from Lowe’s starting pay is $16.26 in California. That’s for cashier.
I can’t imagine Lowe’s paying that for an entry position.
I saw 5 people working in Chipotle. 2 cooks, 2 cashiers and I think a manager.
In lowes there was 1 open cashier, 1 self
Checkout, 1 returns desk. No one in hardware, 1 person in seasonal, no one in home decor, 1 in flooring.
For the same pay, I’d be team Chipotle and get an education or trade.

I worked in the Lowes distribution center 5 years ago and the pay was $18.00 an hour and that was the entry pay. I was told by a friend who still works there that the pay is now $22.00 an hour. Not sure what the OP is talking about. Lowes pays pretty good.
