More layoff's just occurred last week and they were quiet about it. Still more to come...

What's your point? There's no proof of a layoff....

re: It doesn’t matter if you believe me. You have now been caught lying on multiple occasions

You must be the one everyone is calling Senior Director of Trolling!

No one said anything was happening in December but it did happened in the form of,
"THEY DIDN'T FIND AN AREA WHERE THEY FIT IN"..regarding higher level executives being laid off.

and the meeting popped up on calendars a few days ago verses 3 weeks ago like past updates, so it was last minute.

It doesn’t matter if you believe me. You have now been caught lying on multiple occasions

  1. Managers informed in November that layoffs come in December. Neither happened
  1. 20 pct layoffs in December. Didn’t happen
  1. Last minute meeting was our monthly business update that we have at the same time every month

Everything I have said has come true . Every thing you have said was a lie

We're talking about the subtext. He said that whatever will happen was part of the plan from the beginning and that the consortium is not responsible. He also said we're in a recession, that the company has a lot of debt+high interest rates and there was excessive hiring last year and that attrition is near 0 this year. We'll know more in January

We watched, and if you have IQ higher than 100 you can understand what he said..

You have no visibility into anything. No one here believes you...

Re:The business update just said in January there will be an announcement reshuffling level 3 employees.

As I said there are no layoffs. I have visibility into this due to my role. people are slowly being moved from over staffed areas to understaffed.

He also implied layoffs are coming because of accelerated hiring last year, he said attrition rate was high then but now it's almost 0...

I really don't see how people are saying this is a last-minute update. This is the monthly update that always happens at this point in the month. The last one was 11/17. pls come prepared before you spout non-sense.

The other poster was right! The meeting tomorrow is last minute and the meeting in the morning is not a rebroadcast .. that’s the one later in the evening! Get off the site with your nonsense and fraudulent speech!

You being a sr director posting on this site is TROLLING… don’t you have some sr director duties to tend too?

by

Post ID: @ixnd+1jUTCqwP

Last minute ? It’s a monthly rebroadcast of our monthly business update

This is complete trolling. As I said, I have already been told that there will be no US mass layoffs.

There was a post weeks ago that managers were told , I’m a sr director and was not told weeks ago and was actually told the opposite

Waiting for this last minute scheduled business update meeting tomorrow. Really looking forward to a meeting full of gaslighting and deflection… SAID NO ONE.. smh! We can’t forget the lovely questions all wrapped up and presented to our CEO!!

What’s worse, prepared questions or prepared answers? 🤔😂🙄

Can one of the managers or HR reps on this thread let DK know, transparency starts with being honest about layoffs, timeline and severance packages? Stop the word riddles .. I feel like I’m in a toxic relationship 🙄🙄😂We do not care about Grace notes or nielsen one AT THIS TIME!

THANKS!

PS - if you’re not going to use the word “TROLL or TROLLING in its proper context… stop using it! 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️😂

The article casts a backdrop where the likes of Elliot stalk companies as predators waiting to pounce and then proceed to devour and loot. Is there no perspective to be added as to how predatory capital would produce a better Neilsen or Citrix?
Since Elliot is NOT in the business or TV ratings or computer technology, what can they possibly bring into the fold for the benefit of such companies?
Answer: nothing.
Plundering is the objective, plain and simple. Barbarians at the gate. Capital as the means to disassemble and loot - extracting for a few in the flash of an eye what took generations to build. Most of the LBO victims disappear soon after. I I think of Icahn and TWA as the starting point and Lambert with Sears a few years down the line. Imagine their impact on an organization, its people, its customers when after they're done a veritable carcass is left!

International (which in Nielsen world means outside the US) were told several weeks ago to identify a 15% reduction in workforce. It's gone quiet since management had to submit their recommendations. Since the company is realigning audience measurement as a global enterprise rather than US v International, it might make more sense to do this at the same time. Elliot are well known activist investors, driving value. It should come as no surprise they will reduce workforce as soon as practical.

They are moving people to the understaffed roles from other parts of the business. This has already begun and has been taking place for a bit now

I know from my job that there won’t be mass layoffs

And it’s easy to tell who is trolling because I also know from my job how many roles were open and attrition last year and to say 20 pct cut is trolling

Anyone who has knowledge of our project staffing cross org would know 20 pct is trolling .

How do you know how many people post here and who is trolling?
And not all departments are understaffed.
Let's wait and see, after holidays we'll find out...

As I posted yesterday, there are no mass layoffs. I would know from my job and who I report to.

You’re being trolled. If you’ve seen our staffing across all departments, you’d know 20 pct was a ridiculous figure

Always looking to be more efficient.....Nielsen Has Had Layoffs Every Year For More than Ten years. Why Would 2023 Be Different???

The global business update is 100% not "proof" of layoffs. David specifically said that management is looking for ways to be more efficient, yes (as always). However, he also said that we're not going to make a blanket reduction & we as a business do not go up or down as others do. An exact quote from him: "the good news is we have some efficiency now, so I don't know that we're getting caught the way some companies are".

This is definitely unsettling, but my team's direction is to focus on wrapping up the year and do so strongly so laying us off is unthinkable. I'm on a very digital side of our business but, every other team can do these same thing instead of fear-mongering.

Re:The 3K seems like fear mongering. Where's the proof? And when? Which departments?

These are just Nielsen trolls, don't pay attention. And yes, they are stupid.
I just wish that in these 3000 layoffs some management will be laid off because most of them never learned to manage people.
