What GF and its terrible and horrible managers, directors and VPs do not realize that layoff has ripple effect.
It is so demoralizing for those who remain in the company. We had so tough time and hardly came out of 7 nm pivot and it’s affect. Now this layoff will probably will be last nail in GF’s coffin. I feel ashamed to tell that I work in GF. I do not see motivation in my team. Most of us are already in quiet quit mode already and this is terrible and negative everywhere.
Thank you Mr Tom for doing this to us. You suck.

My group lost 1 employee during the pivot. A few months later he found a new job and convinced 3 more people from my group to apply. So we effectively lost 4 people after laying off 1. There really is a snowball effect with layoffs. My department has always averaged around 15% turnover though. But usually isn't all in a span of 3 months lol
This layoff announcement really sucks though. My team was finally starting to have positive moral, but this news has put a damper on all of us.
Frankly it is traumatizing. I regret that I did not leave last year and it is affecting me mentally a lot. My manager is terrible and team atmosphere is so toxic. Am sure it is affecting my health as well. Hope market improves and allows most of us to escape this rotten place. This place is not for building career or talents.
I already see pre quitting behavior in my team.
Yea it’s time to get out.
So true. When a co-worker’s intention to quit becomes obvious to others, their behaviors, thoughts and attitudes about their job and the company can become a trigger for others to reevaluate their own employment situation.
